What DepoCallout processes
The transcript PDF, selectable text, lazily rendered source pages, marker suggestions, selected passages, previews, projects, and exports are processed in the browser on the device you are using.

DepoCallout is designed to create transcript callouts without sending the transcript to a DepoCallout processing or storage service. These boundaries describe the current browser application; they are not a compliance certification.
The public demo uses fictional testimony. Customer PDF import is available only in the signed-in Professional workspace.
What DepoCallout does not provide
The application has no transcript-upload endpoint, transcript database, matter storage, cloud synchronization, analytics beacon, or transcript-content telemetry. R2 document storage is disabled.
What the web host sees
The hosting provider receives ordinary requests needed to load the website and may retain request metadata such as IP address, time, user agent, and requested URL. The application removes untrusted forwarding headers before routing requests.
What saved work contains
A .depocallout project contains the source filename, source fingerprint, indexed testimony, citations, selections, and review state. It does not contain the original PDF and is not encrypted. Protect it like the transcript.
What account and billing use
DepoCallout stores a keyed account identifier and content-free subscription state in D1. Stripe handles checkout and billing details. Transcript text, filenames, projects, and exports are not sent to Stripe.
What support should receive
Support is content-free. Do not email transcripts, testimony, screenshots, matter names, projects, or output files. Report only the product version, browser, general action, and exact software error wording.
SUPPORTED USE
Keep the original. Verify every word and citation.
Use a current Edge or Chrome browser on an approved work computer. The first release supports standard, unencrypted PDFs with selectable transcript text. Image-only scans need OCR before import. The original transcript remains authoritative.

- Review both sides of every comparison slide
- Do not use DepoCallout as a redaction or de-identification tool
- Protect local projects and exports under matter-security rules
- Open and inspect every exported PowerPoint, PDF, or PNG before use
CURRENT ASSURANCE
Fail-closed citations, bounded inputs, explicit limits.
The current candidate uses deterministic transcript parsing, duplicate-text suppression, strict page and line inference, bounded request bodies, same-origin mutation checks, content-free operational logging, protected dependency readiness, and billing that fails closed. It has no OCR, does not make legal conclusions, and does not silently substitute PDF page ordinals for printed transcript citations.
NOT YET REPRESENTED
No certification or guaranteed courtroom result.
DepoCallout is not represented as SOC 2 certified, independently penetration-tested, HIPAA compliant, or guaranteed fit for a particular court, filing, production, or evidentiary use. No BAA is currently offered. Legal, security, and technology teams remain responsible for approving use with confidential material.
