Privacy Notice
Effective July 29, 2026. Applies to the hosted DepoCallout website and subscription workspace.
Dancel Legal Consulting provides DepoCallout and is responsible for the account and billing records described in this notice.
Transcript content and generated work
Transcript PDFs, selectable text, rendered source pages, physical marker suggestions, selected testimony, citations, previews, saved projects, and exports are processed in the browser on the device being used. DepoCallout does not provide an application endpoint, object-storage bucket, or database for uploading or storing that content.
Local project files
A downloaded .depocallout project contains indexed testimony, citations, the source filename and fingerprint, passages, and review state. It does not contain the original PDF and is not encrypted. The customer controls where the file is saved, retained, backed up, or shared.
Account and access information
Sign in with ChatGPT supplies the signed-in email address to DepoCallout for access control. DepoCallout converts that address into a keyed, one-way account identifier before storing subscription records. Those records can include plan, status, paid-through date, cancellation state, billing-risk holds, and Stripe customer, subscription, checkout, and event identifiers. They do not include transcript names, testimony, citations, passages, exports, client names, or matter activity.
Payments
Stripe provides checkout, subscription billing, and the billing portal. Information entered on Stripe's pages is handled under Stripe's privacy practices. DepoCallout receives the billing status and identifiers needed to grant, renew, pause, or end product access. Transcript content is not sent to Stripe.
Hosting, security, and operational records
The hosting provider receives ordinary requests needed to load and operate the site and may retain metadata such as IP address, time, user agent, requested URL, and security events. DepoCallout's operational logs use allowlisted route, method, status, and error classifications and exclude URLs, identities, billing object IDs, filenames, transcript content, and stack traces. Browser, device, network, extension, download-location, and operating-system records remain outside DepoCallout's direct control.
Retention and deletion requests
Account, security, and billing records are retained as needed to operate the subscription, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, maintain accounting records, and meet legal duties. Canceling stops future renewal but does not necessarily require immediate deletion of transaction records. Local transcript and project files remain under the customer's control.
